This is Lexi. She is, what I believe to be, a Pit bull terrier and Border Collie mix. I went searching on Access Coweta a few days after my fathers death. When I came across her something just clicked. She is such a special dog. She knows when I’m upset and when I need her most. She is only eight months old and weighs in at 40 pounds, but she isn’t too aware of her size. She is a gentle, playful puppy. People have such a stereotype with Pit bulls, even mixes, but I want to prove that not old Pit’s are the same. She has inspired and encouraged me to foster dogs and give them a better chance at a new life, not to mention helped inspire me to one day open my own non-kill shelter.
